Hello my names Danika Schrader, Colin
Schrader is my Daddy. When I knew I was going to Thailand I was soo excited
but as an 8-year old I didn’t know much about where I was going or a hint of
what it would be like, but my sister Deyna filled me in on Thailand and Koh
Toa where we’d be mainly! But lets get on with this adventure I went on! Me
and my sister travelled up to Belfast airport with my Mummy which is
normally about a 2hr drive, when we got there we had something to eat and
eventually our flight was called and a lady was going to look after us on
the flight to England we said our good-byes and set off, my sister talking
to me about Thailand and all the amazing places, when we got to England we
were escorted to my Granddad and his wife, Kerry and their son Lawrence we
cruised to their house from Heathrow to Wales and were shown our rooms and
by then it was time for lunch we went out shopping for some clothes as a
present and soon we were being brought back to Heathrow to catch our plane
to Bangkok, Thailand! So once again me and my older sister were saying our
good-byes and were brought to a lady who would look after us and care for us
on the 12hr
flight to Thailand! Thank-Goodness we are on the plane to see Daddy and Sam,
and the flight had begun I worked out how to use my own personal T.V. for
the flight and the music headphones and everything else I unwrapped the
pillow, blanket and slippers and got served dinner, after a while my sister
lay on my legs, I was so annoyed and when the flight was landing my legs
were numb because she’d been sleeping on them about 4hrs! We were brought
through customs and there was Daddy and Sam, me and Deyna with our heavy
travelling back-packs on and my word it was so humid and warm and fumy! We
then got a tuk-tuk which is a Thai taxi to our hotel called the D&D Inn and
there was a pool there and loads of air-conditioning but we had fun! After 2
days we were on our way to Koh Toa so we made our way to the Chumphon train
which is 8and half hours so not to bad but the seats you sit on get folded
into bunk-beds so that’s cool, after that we had to go on a bus in Chumphon
which was half an hour and then we were getting on the boat to Koh-Tao which
by this stage I was getting really excited to meet my Uncle-Luke and his
girlfriend, Jam! We went to stay at Tommy’s Apartments and it was great fun
over that 6-week period and in that time I learnt to dive, snorkel, I turned
9 on the 1st of August, I met loads of new people who turned into
good friends, I went to stay for 2-nights at an amazing villa, I went to an
awesome Restaurant and had treasure hunts and went to other Islands close by
to stay as well, but in just one page I can not express how much fun I had
or everything I did so I’ll stop here and if you read this and want me to
